Martes Sport wanted to overcome multiple challenges with a more efficient search & discovery solution for their e-commerce store. The essential one was to include an option to analyze search results and have the ability to create a change that would make a positive impact on the shopping experience. With this significant change, Martes Sport would be able to solve multiple other challenges as well.
Removing irrelevant search results
Martes Sport’s previous search solution often delivered irrelevant results. For instance, searching for “ponton” (pontoon, a type of inflatable boat on their site) returned over 300 results, while only three were actually available in the shop. Similarly, searches for “żółta koszulka” (yellow t-shirt) would yield results for products in yellow color, but none would be t-shirts.
Luigi’s Box Search ensures only the most relevant results are shown, helping customers find what they’re looking for faster and improving their shopping experience. Thanks to excellent language processing features, Luigi’s Box can quickly determine the right match under any circumstances. Martes Sport couldn’t effectively evaluate its search tool’s performance without access to reliable analytics and learn how customers use it. The original analytics highlighted only popular search phrases without revealing what wasn’t working. They were left guessing whether the solution worked or how to make meaningful improvements.

Martes Sport reached new records with Luigi’s Box
Martes Sport ran its A/B test to determine if Luigi’s Box is the right choice. Later on, the company also relied on Luigi’s Box A/B testing capabilities to compare our solution with their previous one to see the difference. The results were positive in both A/B tests.
After easy and trouble-free implementation, Martes Sport started noticing the changes brought by Luigi’s Box. The search performs significantly better with higher add-to-cart and conversion rates, with an overall positive effect on their revenue. They also noticed an improvement in mobile traffic, with 4 times more customers shopping through smartphones and other smart devices.

Based on Google Analytics, Martes Sport experiences significant differences in multiple areas of its e-commerce business. Luigi’s Box AB test revealed a 26% increase in search conversion rate and a 20% revenue increase (search-only sessions) in less than a week between 9th October 2024 and 15th October 2024.
