Improving recommendations and searches with Luigi’s Box
Eurofirany teamed up with Luigi’s Box to improve product findability, campaign performance, and on-site recommendations. By tackling issues like inaccurate color filters and poor promotion visibility, we helped create a smoother, smarter shopping experience that drives real results.
1. Enhancing search relevance with accurate product colors
Customers often rely on visual cues—like color—when browsing for products online. However, Eurofirany’s search results lacked accurate keyword processing based on very specific colors, such as turquoise, powder, ash, steel, and more, making it difficult for customers to find products according to their preferences. This led to a frustrating search experience. That’s why Eurofirany wanted to include this option and deal with this challenge.
To resolve this, Luigi’s Box Search enriched the search setup with detailed color attributes, including specific color codes. This update enabled search results to reflect precise product colors, making the search experience far more intuitive. As a result, customers can now easily identify and select products based on their preferred color, leading to improved user satisfaction and higher relevance of search results. Luigi’s Box made sure to include the colors in the filters as well.
Customers can easily search and use filters with color descriptions and get relevant results.
Eurofirany ran frequent campaigns using terms like “promocje” and “promocja,” (meaning promotion) but the default sorting of search results didn’t prioritize the most attractive deals. This mismatch between customer intent and search output limited the effectiveness of their promotions.
Luigi’s Box implemented dynamic sorting rules to prioritize products by discount percentage specifically for those search terms. In addition, all traffic for these campaigns is routed through Luigi’s Box, relieving the client’s infrastructure while improving performance with faster filtering. The client now uses this custom URL in newsletters, offering recipients a seamless and optimally sorted shopping experience that increases engagement and sales.
Search now shows promotions, such as discounts when the right keyword is entered.
3. Aligning recommendation frames with website design and UX
Eurofirany wanted to integrate multiple recommendation frames across their site, but they needed to ensure these additions wouldn’t disrupt the site’s overall aesthetic. Poorly integrated recommendation frames could dilute the customer journey or distract users from key touchpoints.
Luigi’s Box introduced seven carefully placed recommendation frames across the site, including the homepage, product detail pages, and the basket. Each Luigi’s Box Recommender frame was tailored to fit seamlessly within the e-shop’s UI/UX while driving a significant uplift in performance. The optimized placement and product logic behind these frames aimed to bring a noticeable increase in revenue compared to previous setups without any recommendations.
Recommendations fit perfectly with the website design.
Eurofirany tidied up their site and received better results
The results from A/B tests showed almost 15% uplift for the overall conversion rate, with close to 5% revenue increase. The conversion rate per session uplift was almost 17%, and the average purchase revenue per customer was almost 6% higher. Another interesting result was a 10% transaction uplift.
Additional results from Q1 2025 showed a 20% search usage rate (what is significantly higher compared to 9% average in the furniture and household industry), and a low 3% rate of searches without results (also much better compared to 7% average in the industry).
