While Edaxo had a successful business already, they wanted to improve and solve certain challenges, such as suggesting products based on sales, popularity, price, and more, as well as challenging implementation on multiple e-commerce platforms. Edaxo was one of the first stores to use our Shopify integration, adding other integration options along the way.
Edaxo uses different e-commerce platforms for each market, which are implemented over time to meet localized needs. The functionality and capabilities of these systems differ, which makes it difficult to integrate certain solutions to operate consistently across all websites.
Edaxo needed separate integrations for their Edaxo and Wenko-sklep websites in Poland, Romania, and Czechia, each running on either Shopify, Idosell, or Shoptet. Enhancing search speed
Slow search speeds were a recurring issue for Edaxo, with results often taking over 1000 milliseconds to load. This delay not only frustrated users but also increased the risk of cart abandonment and reduced overall engagement with the platform.
Luigi’s Box significantly improved search performance by reducing response times to between 300 and 600 milliseconds. This upgrade provided a faster, smoother experience, ensuring customers could browse and find products without interruption.
Searching by specific product attributes
Edaxo’s customers often wanted to search for products using specific attributes such as size, color, or material composition. However, their original search solution lacked this functionality, making it difficult for users to refine their searches effectively.
Luigi’s Box introduced Product Ranking and Natural Language Processing. These features allow users to search by specific attributes. This improvement streamlined the shopping process, helping customers locate their desired items quickly and easily.

Hiding unavailable and outlet products
Edaxo faced challenges with search results displaying unavailable products and items labeled “Outlet.” Displaying unavailable products confused customers and reduced trust in the platform. Additionally, displaying products from the outlet could quickly become less profitable for Edaxo. As a result, the company wanted to gain greater overall control over what results would be shown in the search results.
Luigi’s Box resolved this issue by allowing Edaxo to exclude unavailable and outlet-labeled products from search results. This customization ensured that customers only saw items that were relevant and available, improving their satisfaction and trust in the platform.
Understanding synonyms for better search results
Edaxo’s original search struggled to understand synonyms, leading to poor query results. For example, customers searching for “kapa” (a coverlet) or “przybornik” (a cutlery organizer) would find no matches due to the lack of synonym recognition.
Luigi’s Box enhanced the search experience with Automated Synonyms Suggestions and Synonyms Management. These features improved query understanding, creating a more user-friendly and efficient search experience.
Synonyms won’t stop Edaxo’s customers from finding their desired products.
Advanced search handling typos and joint queries
With their previous solution, typos and complex queries often led to dead-end searches with no results. Some searches showed no results due to minor spelling errors or the inability to process multi-word searches effectively. This created frustration and reduced overall satisfaction with the shopping experience. One specific example in Polish of what typos could cause was “pokj dziecięcy” instead of the accurate “pokój dziecięcy” (children’s bedroom). The previous search solution couldn’t show correct results due to this simple mistake.
Luigi’s Box solved these issues with Typo Tolerance, Typo Correction, and other language processing features. The advanced Search now shows accurate results even when queries include errors or complex phrases, ensuring customers always find what they are looking for.

The job well done brought some great results for Edaxo
After the implementation process was complete, Edaxo started getting results, and they were very positive. We compared all results with the furniture industry average.
