BRW built a reputation as one of the largest furniture companies in Europe

BRW (Black Red White) is a leading European manufacturer and distributor of high-quality furniture and home accessories in Poland and Europe. It is one of the most valued and recognizable brands in the interior design industry. It has offered its customers furniture and accessories at competitive prices for over thirty years.

Thanks to close cooperation between the teams (Ideo Software’s technical team and BRW’s e-commerce team), we were able to integrate all Luigi’s Box products into the BRW website and significantly improve the online shopping experience. This partnership was crucial to the success of this project, and it brought stellar results.

What challenges Luigi’s Box helped BRW overcome

Luigi’s Box worked with Ideo Software, a software solutions agency, to analyze BRW’s needs and tailor a solution to the specific requirements of their online store. They were able to integrate all products and significantly improve search and product discovery while also solving multiple challenges on the go.

Search that handles high online traffic

BRW needed a reliable search solution that could handle large amounts of traffic, which is why they turned to Luigi’s Box Search.

Improving search accuracy and performance

Challenge

BRW used a competitor’s product before Luigi’s Box, but BRW was looking for a more tailored approach towards the user experience to meet their requirements. The company wanted to improve the search accuracy and performance simultaneously.

Solution

After switching to Luigi’s Box, BRW’s new Search was the right choice for solving this challenge. Luigi’s Box Search ensures the highest relevancy of search results thanks to Machine Learning, Product Ranking, and Natural Language Processing. Furthermore, it’s optimized to handle large product catalogs without losing speed and efficiency.

Backend integration

Challenge

One requirement of BRW was to have the option of backend integration, which was handled by the Ideo Software agency.

Solution

Thanks to Luigi’s Box flexibility and various integration options, Ideo Software had no trouble performing the backend API integration and implementing Luigi’s Box Search on the BRW website.

Autocomplete from zero characters

Challenge

BRW wanted an Autocomplete feature worked even when no characters were typed into the search bar.

Solution

Luigi’s Box Search has a stellar, AI-powered Autocomplete feature that decreases search times and suggests just the right products as customers type. Luigi’s Box Autocomplete suggestions appear from zero characters by default, allowing customers to see suggestions as soon as they click on the search bar

Focus on product descriptions

Challenge

With a large selection of products available on the BRW website, the company needed to put focus on product descriptions rather than product names. This would make it significantly easier for customers to find products that match their requirements, and they would be able to describe what they need rather than remember exact product names and brands.

Solution

Luigi’s Box Search can identify various product descriptions that include colors, materials, brands, product types, sizes, and much more. Thanks to this, customers can simply enter a description and find matching products easier.

BRW built a better website with Luigi’s Box

Luigi’s Box and Ideo Software jointly analyzed BRW’s needs and then tailored the solution to the specifics of the store with a wide range of BRW.pl products. They successfully implemented Luigi’s Box Search, Analytics, and Product Listing for BRW.

Results after implementation of Luigi’s Box

Search with Autocomplete brought great results, starting with a search usage uplift of 134%. That means the shoppers noticed the improved search capabilities and trusted it to find the products much more often. Search with no results decreased by 86%, and conversions from Search increased by 86%.

Since the implementation in 2021, we gradually got to beautiful results. By May 2024, search usage was 331% above average in the industry, and the rate of searches without results was only slightly higher than 1%.
